Exciting news! We’ve launched a new category group called Modality, designed to help you filter and analyse incidents based on how the event occurred.
Modality adds an extra layer of structure to reporting, making it easier to:
- – Quickly narrow results to a specific incident mechanism (e.g., stabbing vs shooting);
- – Compare trends across similar event types;
- – Build cleaner dashboards and alerts around operationally relevant patterns;

What’s included in Modality?
The new Modality group includes the following categories (alphabetical):
Airstrike
Bomb threat
Drone sighting
Drone strike
GPS interference
Missile strike
Shooting
Stabbing
More categories will be added soon!
How to use it
You’ll now see Modality available alongside your other category filters. Select one or more modality categories to refine incident feeds, reporting views, and analysis outputs based on the mechanism of the event.

Why this matters
Security and intelligence teams often need to differentiate events that may look similar on the surface but carry very different risk implications and response requirements. Modality helps you get there faster—with fewer manual pivots and cleaner monitoring workflows.
