On October 27, it was reported that a ransomware attack targeted the Department of Finance’s Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS). The attack, which occurred last week, has left the government with no access to hundreds of millions of dollars in foreign aid money. The attackers have demanded bitcoin as ransom.
