Qatar | Arrests for illegal trade in tickets for Football World Cup matches in Qatar

On November 14 3 men of different nationalities were arrested in Qatar for selling tickets to matches for the FIFA World Cup outside dedicated platforms approved by FIFA and the host country, Qatar’s Interior Ministry announced. Moreover, Qatari authorities are prosecuting manufacturers of souvenirs with a fake World Cup logo. In early November, a hundred counterfeit World Cups were also confiscated for sale online, and on May 10, Qatar announced the first arrests for selling counterfeit products (t-shirts and caps with the 2022 World Cup logo) on social networks.
