On July 28, the National Front for the Defence of the Constitution (FNDC) will stage a demonstration, against the junta, in Conakry. Later, on August 4, the FNDC plans to stage a nationwide demonstration.

 

Liberia | Student Unification Party to stage nationwide protest against the government on July 26
On July 26, the University of Liberia’s campus-based Student Unification Party (SUP) will stage a nationwide protest against the government. The SUP’s ‘Fix the Country’ campaign aims to protest against the government over economic failure, corruption, and bad governance, among other issues.

 

Nigeria | Country-wide protest by the Nigerian Labour Congress on July 26-27
On July 26-27, a Country-wide protest by the Nigerian Labour Congress is scheduled at the state capitals of the Federation and Abuja. The protests will start at NLC state secretariats and the Labour House Abuja. The protesters demand the Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU resolve their issues and suspend the strike.

 

Sudan | Khartoum resistance committees planning to hold a convoy protest on July 31
On July 31, Khartoum resistant committees are planning to hold a convoy protest in support of the people of the Blue Nile region. The locations and routes for the demonstration are yet to be announced.

 

Zimbabwe | Central Bank to introduce gold coins as local currency collapses from July 25
On July 25, Zimbabwe’s central bank said it would begin selling gold coins as a store of value to control inflation. The “Mosi-oa-tunya” coin will be available for sale in local currency, USD, and other foreign currencies at a price based on the international gold price and production cost. It will be sold through Fidelity Gold Refinery, Aurex, and local banks.

On July 27, La Unidad Piquetera and the Workers’ Union of the Popular Economy (UTEP) will hold a mass protest in Buenos Aires. The protest will take place at the Plaza de Mayo at an unconfirmed time. The protest is staged to demand better income and job opportunities and the universalization of social programs.

 

Dominican Republic | Dominican Medical Association (CMD) to march in Santo Domingo on July 27
On July 27, the Dominican Medical Association (CMD) will hold a march in Santo Domingo. The march will begin at the Hospital Universitario Maternidad Nuestra Señora de la Altagracia and will move towards the Palacio Nacional. The time is yet to be confirmed. The march is staged against precarious conditions in hospitals.

 

Paraguay | Medium and long-distance transport sector workers to go on strike from July 27
On July 27, the medium and long-distance transport sector workers will go on strike in the country. The strike will begin at 00:00 am local time and is due to the increasing costs of diesel and tolls. Coaches and truckers are expected to participate.

 

United States | Protest against Roe v. Wade decision to be held in Wilmington, North Carolina on July 27
On July 27, a protest against Roe v. Wade decision will be held in Wilmington, North Carolina. The demonstration is scheduled at 5 pm local time and will take place at New Hanover County Courthouse on 316 Princess Street.

India | Traders and shopkeepers launch nationwide tax hike protest on July 26
On July 26, traders and shopkeepers will launch a nationwide tax hike protest. The 5% tax increase, which went into effect on July 18, includes food grains and household items. The Confederation of All India Traders group plans to start in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.

 

India | First commercial flight from Delhi (DEL) to Deoghar (DGH) to take place on July 30
On July 30, the first commercial flight from Delhi (DEL) to Deoghar (DGH) will commence. The flight will be operated by Indigo Airlines.

 

Indonesia | Workers to hold a demonstration at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) on July 28
On July 28, workers of PT Aerotrans Services will hold a demonstration at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK).Accordingly to the Aerospace, Digital, and Transportation Union of Workers – Federation of Indonesian Metal Workers Union (SPDT-FSPMI) Chariman Iswan Abdullahto, the demonstration will take place to demand for better working rights.

 

Indonesia – South Korea | Indonesian President Joko Widodo to visit South Korea on July 27-28
On July 27-28, Indonesian President Joko Widodo will visit South Korea for summit talks in Seoul. The Indonesian President is the second foreign leader, after US President Joe Biden, to visit South Korea since the inauguration of President Yoon Suk-yeol in May.

 

Indonesia | Indonesian president to visit China on July 25-26
On July 25-26, Indonesian President Joko Widodo will visit China. President Widodo’s visit was confirmed by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Hua Chunying.

 

Pakistan | Pakistan to be removed from Japan’s COVID-19 Red List countries, starting July 27
On July 27, Pakistan will be removed from Japan’s COVID-19 Red List countries. The Pakistani Embassy in Tokyo announced the new categorization, but maintain that precautionary measures against COVID-19 will stay in place.

 

South Korea | PCR test required within 1 day of arrival for inbound travellers from July 25
From July 25 onwards, inbound travellers in South Korea will be required to have taken a PCR test within 1 day of arrival or upon arrival. This is changed from the previous policy to have a PCR test taken within 3 days of arrival.

 

Taiwan | Military exercise to be held from July 25 to 29
From July 25 to 29, a military exercise is scheduled to take place in Taiwan. The Hanguang live fire exercise will involve sea and air combat exercises.

 

Taiwan | Entry restrictions to be lifted for 6 categories of travellers from July 25
From July 25, Taiwan will lift entry restrictions for 6 categories of travellers. The following individuals will be allowed to apply for a special permit to enter Taiwan: volunteers, missionaries, scholars (religious), interns, international exchange participants, and people taking a working holiday.

On July 29, an opposition rally will be held in Yerevan. The rally will be staged at 7:30 pm in central France Square.

 

Bosnia and Herzegovina | Protests to be held in Sarajevo on July 27
On July 27, a protest is expected to occur in Sarajevo. The protest will occur between 1 pm and 3 pm local time in front of the Office of the High Representative. The demonstrators will reportedly protest against all discrimination.

 

Bosnia and Herzegovina | Doctors announce general strike in Central Bosnia Canton, Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, from July 27
From July 27, doctors and dentists will go on a general strike in Central Bosnia Canton, Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The strike was announced due to low salaries. Only emergency cases will be treated during this period.

 

Bulgaria | Masks in public transport are mandatory in Sofia from July 25
From July 25, wearing masks in public transport will become mandatory in Sofia. The rule does not apply to children under 6 years of age. Sofia is 1 out of 3 districts in Bulgaria classified as a Covid-19 red zone.

 

France | Ground staff to strike at Lyon Airport (LYS) on July 26
On July 26, the ground staff will strike at Lyon Airport (LYS). The strike will occur between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm local time. Flight disruptions are expected.

 

Germany | Climate activists to stage demonstration, on July 30, in Schkeuditz, Saxony
On July 30, climate activists, associated with the Climate Camp in Leipzig, will hold a demonstration in Schkeuditz, Saxony. The demonstration will begin at 11 am local time at the Schkeuditz S-Bahn station. The activists are protesting against the expansion of the Leipzig/Halle cargo Airport and other issues.

 

Greece – Saudi Arabia | Saudi Prince Mohammed bin Salman to visit Greece on July 26
On July 26, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman will arrive in Greece on an official visit. The Saudi Prince will meet Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in Athens in the evening local time.

 

Italy | Public bus workers’ union to stage strike action, on July 27, in Genoa, Liguria
On July 27, public bus workers, associated with the Ugl-Fna union, will stage a strike in Genoa, Liguria. The strike will be held from 8 pm to 12 am local time. The strike is being held to demand the safety of bus drivers during the night shift.

 

Malta | COVID-19 entry restrictions to be lifted on July 25
On July 25, all COVID-19 entry restrictions will be lifted in Malta. Travellers will be allowed to enter the country without a vaccine certificate or a recovery certificate or a negative PCR/Antigen Test.

 

Moldova | Armed Forces reservists called into training, from July 25 to 29
On July 25, the Armed Forces reservists will take place in a training exercise with the national army until July 29. The purpose of the exercise will verify the knowledge and skills of the reservists and train with the national army. This comes after multiple weeks of false bomb threats across the country.

 

Netherlands | Protesting farmers reportedly planning to block A1 highway, on July 28, from De Lutte to Amsterdam
On July 28, protesting farmers are planning to block the A1 highway from De Lutte to Amsterdam. The blockades are expected to begin at 11 am local time.

 

Russia | Flights from Kaliningrad (KGD) to Perm (PEE) to resume on July 30
On July 30, the direct flight between Kaliningrad Airport (KGD) to Perm Airport (PEE) will continue after being stopped in March of 2022. The flights will operate every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday until October 29, 2022.

 

Spain | Farmers’ protest to be held in Córdoba, Andalusia on July 27
On July 27, a protest will be held in Córdoba, Andalusia. The protest will be staged by Asaja, COAG, UPA, and Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias. The protest will take place on Boulevard de Gran Capitán at 10.30 am local time.

 

Spain | Workers’ union at Mecanizados CAS to stage strikes, on July 26 and August 3, 11, and 17, in Aviles, Asturias
On July 26, the workers’ union at Mecanizados CAS, an industrial machinery manufacturer, will stage 24-hour work stoppages and demonstrations in Aviles, Asturias. Similar strike action is scheduled to take place on August 3, 11, and 17. The work stoppages and demonstrations will occur at Principado de Asturias Business Park. The workers are protesting against the non-payment of arrears.

 

Spain | CNT union calls for strike in Calahorra, La Rioja on July 26 and 28
On July 26 and 28, the union CNT La Rioja will strike in Calahorra, La Rioja. The strike will start at 12:00 pm local time in front of the hospital of Calahorra.
United Kingdom | Rail workers to go on strike on July 27
On July 27, workers at rail operators and Network Rail will strike over a dispute over pay, according to the RMT union.

 

United Kingdom | Protests to be held, against overdevelopment, on July 27 in Oxford, England
On July 27, protests will be held, against new construction projects and alleged overdevelopment, in Oxford, England. The protest will take place at the Oxford Town Hall from 5 pm to 6 pm local time.

 

United Kingdom | Climate Camp Scotland to hold 5-day camp from July 28-August 1, including rallies and mass action, in Aberdeen, Scotland
From July 28-August 1, Climate Camp Scotland will hold a 5-day camp, including rallies and mass action, in Aberdeen, Scotland. On July 31, a rally will be held on St Nicholas Street at 12 pm local time, by participants of the climate camp and St Fittick’s Park campaign.

 

United Kingdom | Train drivers at 8 railway companies to strike on July 30
On July 30, Train drivers at 8 railway companies will strike in a dispute over pay. The concerned companies are Chiltern, GWR, LNER, London Overground, Northern, Southeastern, TransPennine and West Midlands.

 

United Kingdom | Extinction Rebellion activists to hold a protest, on July 30, in Bristol, England
On July 30, Extinction Rebellion activists will hold a protest in Bristol, England. The protesters are scheduled to gather at Queens Square at 10 am local time. The protest has been organised to demand “a stop to the airport expansion project; fair fares; and, public ownership of public transport”.

On July 25-26, the Kuwaiti air and naval forces will conduct a military exercise off the south coast of the country. The military exercises will occur at around 30.56 km east of Al-Julaia’a as far as Qaruh Island, and about 11.11 km east of Al-Zour as far as Umm Al-Maradem. Seafarers are advised to avoid the area.

 

Palestinian territories | Syndicate of Engineers strike to be held on July 24-25, 27-28
On July 24, 25, 27, and 28, the Syndicate of Engineers is expected to hold a strike. The decision was taken to protest against “the government’s persistence in ignoring the demands of engineers in the public sector”. The date and location of the major sit-in are to be announced in the following days.

 

Saudi Arabia | Flynas to launch flights from Riyadh Airport (RUH) to Podgorica Airport (TGD) from July 28
From July 28, Saudi Arabia’s airline Flynas announced to launch flights from Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport Airport (RUH) to Podgorica International Airport (TGD). Flights will operate 1 per week, scheduled every Thursday.

 

Tunisia | Referendum on new constitution on July 25
On July 25, voting will be held on a referendum on a new constitution in Tunisia. According to a decree issued, on May 25, by Tunisian President Kais Saied, “the polling will start at 6 am local time and end at 10 pm”.
