Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) | INHP agents to go on strike nationwide on November 28
On November 28, agents of the National Institute of Public Hygiene (INHP) will go on strike for non-payment of their Covid-19 premiums nationwide.

 

Kenya | Power outages scheduled in parts of Nyeri County and Nandi County
On November 28, power outages are scheduled in parts of Nyeri County and Nandi County. According to the Kenya Power and Lighting Company:

– In Nyeri: Ndiriti, Kiangombe, Gathambi, Muragara, and Mununga areas will be affected from 9 am to 3 pm local time
– In Nandi: Tulon Center, Corner Center, Kilimbwoni, Tulon Quarry, Kipchunu, Lutiet, and Kabore Primary areas will be affected from 10 am to 3 pm

 

Mali | Magistrates unions to strike from November 29 to December 5
From November 29 to December 5, 2 magistrates’ unions, the Autonomous Syndicate of Magistracy (SAM) and the Free Syndicate of Magistry (SYLIMA), will go on a nationwide strike. The strike will begin at 7.30 am local time. The strike is regarding a modification to the retirement age of members of the Supreme Court.

 

Mozambique | Fly Indico to resume its Palma-Pemba flights, Cabo Delgado from November 28
On November 28, Fly Indico will resume its flights between Aeroporto de Palma (LMZ) and Aeroporto de Pemba (POL), Cabo Delgado. Flights are resuming after a temporary halt due to armed attacks in Palma.

 

Nigeria | Arik Air to increase flights from Lagos (LOS) and Abuja (ABV) to Owerri (QOW) and Kano (KAN), starting November 28
On November 28, Arik Airlines announced it will resume daily flights from Murtala Muhammed International Airport (LOS) in Lagos and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (ABV) in Abuja to Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport (QOW) in Owerri. Additionally, it will begin 4 weekly flights from Abuja (ABV) to Mallam Aminu International Airport (KAN) in Kano.

 

Sudan | Civil Defense Forces and Civil Aviation Authority to hold joint emergency exercises at Khartoum International Airport (KRT) on November 28-29 and on December 7
On November 28-29 and on December 7, the Civil Defense Forces and the Civil Aviation Authority will carry out joint emergency exercises at the Khartoum International Airport (KRT). The exercises will begin at 7:00 pm. These exercises aim at enhancing security and safety measures and readiness in operating aircraft during emergencies.

 

Sudan | Sudanese Teachers’ Committee to strike on November 28
On November 28, the Sudanese Teachers’ Committee will launch a nationwide strike. It has not been revealed how long the strike may last. The strike is part of an ongoing dispute with the government, which ignored the written demands submitted to them last month.

 

Sudan | Anti-coup protests to be staged nationwide
On November 30, the Resistance Committees announced that anti-coup protests will be staged nationwide. It has not been revealed what the route of the processions will be or what time they will last.

Nicaragua – United States | American Airlines will restore its route between Miami (MIA) and Managua (MGA) on November 30
On November 30, American Airlines will restore its route between Miami International Airport (MIA) and Managua International Airport (MGA) after more than 2 years of interruption.

 

Peru | Unionised workers of the Decentralized Directorate of Tourism to go on strike in Cusco on November 28
On November 28, unionised workers of the Decentralized Directorate of Tourism will go on strike in Cusco. The strike is staged to demand the repeal of the rule of transfer of incomes to the National Treasure. The strike could block access to Machu Picchu.

 

Trinidad and Tobago | Flooding and landslides due to rainfall reported across the country; flood warning issued till November 28
On November 26, flooding and landslides due to rainfall were reported across the country. The Meteorological department issued a yellow riverine flood alert from November 26 12 pm to November 28 at 12 pm local time. The areas affected include: Biche, Ortoire, Santa Cruz, St Joseph, Maracas, Caparo and Arouca

Afghanistan – China | China to grant zero-tariff treatment to 98% of taxable products from Afghanistan from December 1
From December 1, China will grant a zero-tariff trade treatment to 98% of currently taxable products from Afghanistan. The decision has been taken to boost development within Afghanistan.

 

Australia | COVID outbreak reported on cruiseliner to dock in Fremantle, Perth on November 30
On November 30, the Bali-bound cruiseliner ‘The Queen Elizabeth’ will be forced to dock in Western Australia due to a COVID-19 outbreak onboard affecting at least 300 passengers. The cruiseliner, originally set to arrive in Bali on November 28, will instead dock in Fremantle, Perth.

 

Bangladesh | NovoAir to start operating flights between Jessore and Cox’s Bazar from November 30
From November 30, NovoAir will start operating flights between Jessore and Cox’s Bazar. The airliner will operate 2 flights per week between Jashore Airport (JSR) and Cox’s Bazar International Airport (CXB).

 

Cambodia – South Korea | Free Trade Agreement to come into effect on December 1
On December 1, the Free Trade Agreement between Cambodia and South Korea will reportedly come into effect. The announcement was made by Minister of Commerce Pan Sorasak.

 

China | Military exercise to be held in Bohai Strait, Yellow Sea from November 28 to December 4
From November 28 to December 4, a military exercise is scheduled to take place in Bohai Strait, Yellow Sea. The exercise will take place from November 28 at 04.00 pm to December 4 at 04.00 pm local time.

 

China | COVID-19 risk areas adjustments issued in Linfen, Shanxi, November 27-29
From November 27-29, COVID-19 risk areas adjustments were issued in Linfen, Shanxi. The stay-at-home orders begin at 6 am local time on November 27. Only essential businesses are allowed to operated.

 

China | Local authorities to impose COVID-19 lockdown, from November 25 through November 29, in Zhengzhou, Henan
From November 25 through November 29, local authorities will impose a COVID-19 lockdown in Zhengzhou, Henan. According to a statement issued by the city authorities’ pandemic task force, the decision comes after 996 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the city on November 23.

 

China – Laos | President of Laos to pay a state visit to China from November 29 to December 1
From November 29 to December 1, the President of Laos, Thongloun Sisoulith will pay a state visit to China upon invitation from the President of China, Xi Jinping.

 

China – Mongolia | Mongolian President to visit China on November 27 and 28
On November 27 and 28, Mongolian President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh is scheduled to pay a state visit to China.

 

China – United States | China Southern Airlines to resume flights between Guangzhou (CAN) and New York (JFK) on December 1
On December 1, China Southern Airlines will resume its flight services between Guangzhou (CAN) and New York (JFK). According to an announcement made by the airline on October 24, the airline will operate 1 flight per week every Thursday from Guangzhou to New York City and every Saturday from New York to Guangzhou.

 

Finland – New Zealand | Prime Ministers to meet in Auckland between November 29 and December 1
Between November 29 and December 1, Finland’s PM Sanna Marin will visit New Zealand’s PM Jacinda Ardern in Auckland. It will be the first time the 2 PMs have met in person. They are set to discuss the New Zealand-European Union Free Trade Agreement.

 

India | IndiGo to launch new routes between Amristar (ATQ) and Ahmedabad (AMD) on December 1
On December 1, IndiGo will launch new flight routes between the cities between Amritsar (ATQ) and Ahmedabad (AMD). The announcement was made on November 14 by the company’s Chief Strategy and Revenue Office.

 

India | State assembly election to be held between December 1 and 8 in Gujarat
On December 1 and 5, voting for the state assembly election will be held in 2 phases in Gujarat. The results will be declared, following the counting of votes, on December 8.

 

Japan – Mongolia | Mongolian President to visit Japan from November 29 to December 2
From November 29 to December 2, Mongolian President Ukhnaagi Khurelsukh is scheduled to pay a state visit to Japan. President Ukhnaagi Khurelsukh will visit King Naruhito of Japan and hold official talks about bilateral relations with Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

 

Japan – South Korea | Korean Air to resume flights to Japan on December 1
On December 1, Korean Air will resume its flights to Japan. The flights, departing from Incheon, will be operated daily to Sapporo Chitose and four times a week to Okinawa. It comes after a long Covid-19 hiatus.

 

New Zealand | Nurses to go on strike across North Island on December 1
On December 1, the New Zealand Nurses’ Organisation (NZNO) is planning a second nurse strike across New Zealand’s North Island. The strike will last for 24 hours at the privately-owned Bowen and Wakefield Hospitals in Wellington, and Royston Hospital in Hastings.

 

Philippines | Operation of some Philippine Airlines international flights to be transferred from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 at Manila airport (MNL) starting from December 1
On December 1, the operation of some Philippine Airlines (PAL) international flights will be transferred from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) in Metro Manila. According to the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), PAL flights to and from Dammam, Doha, Dubai, Riyadh, Toronto, Vancouver, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Honolulu, and Guam will be operated from Terminal 1.

 

Philippines – Taiwan | China Airlines to start direct flights from Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) to Mactan–Cebu International Airport (CEB) on December 1
On December 1, China Airlines is scheduled to start direct flights from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) to Mactan–Cebu International Airport (CEB). The airline will operate 4 flights per week.

 

South Korea | National railway union to go on strike on December 2
On December 2, the national railway union will go on strike. The strike is being called for by the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) in different sectors.

 

South Korea | Seoul Transportation Corporation Union to go on strike from November 30
From November 30, Seoul Transportation Corporation Union will go on a strike to demand the withdrawal of the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s manpower reduction plan.

 

Taiwan | Weekly cap on arriving visitors from abroad to be raised from December 1
From December 1, the weekly cap on arriving visitors from abroad will be raised from the current 150,000 to 200,000. The decision has been taken after COVID-19 cases in the country declined.

 


 

Europe

 

 

Austria | Railway workers go on a 24-hours strike nationwide on November 28
On November 28, a 24-hours strike will be held nationwide. The strike will be staged by railway workers supported by the Vida union for a wage increase and better working conditions.

 

Belgium | Train drivers go on strike nationwide from November 30 to December 2
From November 30 to December 2, a strike will be held nationwide. The strike will be staged by train drivers supported by the SACT union for better working conditions. The strike will start on November 30 at 3 am and will end on December 2 at 3 am local time.

 

Belgium | Railway workers go on strike nationwide on November 29
On November 29, a strike will be held nationwide. The strike will be staged by railway workers supported by CGSP Cheminots, ACV-CSC Transcom, and SLFP Cheminots against the lack of investment by the federal government.

 

Belgium | Demonstration protesting violence against police planned in Brussels on November 28
On November 28, a demonstration protesting violence against police will be held in Brussels. The announcement comes in the wake of a suspected terrorist attack that killed 1 police officer and injured another on November 10. Police unions are also calling for more respect from federal officials in multiple capacities.

 

Cyprus | Protest to be held outside Presidential Palace in Nicosia on December 2
On December 2, a protest for the rights of disabled people will be held in Nicosia. The protest will be held in front of the presidential palace at 11 am local time.

 

Finland – New Zealand | Prime Ministers to meet in Auckland between November 29 and December 1

On December 2, a demonstration will be held in Munich, Bavaria. The demonstration will be staged by Fridays for Future against fossil fuels. The demonstration will take place at Odeonsplatz at 2 pm local time.

 

Germany | Demonstration in support of human rights to be held in Bernburg, Saxony-Anhalt on November 30
On November 30, a demonstration will be held in Bernburg, Saxony-Anhalt. The demonstration will be staged to support human rights for foreigners. The demonstration will take place in front of the Foreigners’ Registration Office, on Friedensallee 25, from 10 am to 4 pm local time.

 

Germany | Train service disruptions due to rail works to be expected between Berlin and Leipzig, Saxony from November 29 to December 4
From November 29 to December 4, train service disruptions due to rail works will be expected between Berlin and Leipzig, Saxony. There will be delays of up to an hour, and individual trains will be diverted.

 

Germany | Extinction Rebellion protest to be held in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg on November 28
On November 28, a protest will be held in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg. The protest will be staged by Extinction Rebellion against the Stuttgart21. The protest will take place at Schlossplatz at 6 pm local time.

 

Germany | University hospitals employees strikes and demonstrations to be held in Baden-Württemberg from November 28 to December 1
From November 28 to December 1,  strikes will be held in Baden-Württemberg. The strike will be staged by employees of university hospitals supported by the Ver.di union for a wage increase. Demonstrations are also expected:

On November 28:

– In Heidelberg, a demonstration will take place at Alten Chirurgische Klinik, on Neuenheimer Feld 110, at 11 am local time.
– In Tübingen, a demonstration will take place outside the Casino Berg at 11:30 am local time.

On November 29:

– In Tübingen, a demonstration will take place from Casino Berg to Holzmarkt from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm local time.
– In Ulm, a demonstration will take place from Frauensteige 12 to Weinhof from 3:30 pm to 5 pm local time.

On November 30:

– In Tübingen, a demonstration will take at Marktplatz at 5 pm local time.
– In Heidelberg, a demonstration will take place from Alten Chirurgische Klinik, on Neuenheimer Feld 110, to Schwanenteich-Anlage, from 12 pm to 2:30 pm local time.
– In Freiburg, a demonstration will take place from Killianstrasse 5 to Breisacher Strasse 153, from 10 am to 11 am local time.

 

Italy | National general strike to be held on December 2; demonstrations planned in major cities
On December 2, a national general strike is planned by multiple unions, including Cobas, Cub, Sgb, SiCobas, UniCobas, Usb and USi Cit. The strike will affect the public transport sector, as well as the health, education, manufacturing, and highway workers. The strike is organized to demand an increase in wages. Demonstrations in relation to the strike are planned in major cities. For the transport and logistics sector the following times for the strike are announced:

– Highway workers will strike for 24 hours from 10 pm local time on December 1
– Railway workers will strike for 24 hours from 9 pm local time on December 1
– Aviation, maritime and public transport workers will strike for 24 hours on December 2″

 

Italy | Public transport strike to be held in Naples, Campania on December 2
On December 2, a public transport strike will be held in Naples, Campania. The strike is organized by the USB union, against the high cost of living and high cost of fuel. Metro and bus services will be affected.

 

Italy | Vueling cabin crew go on a 24-hours strike nationwide on December 2
On December 2, a 24-hours strike will be held nationwide. The strike will be staged by the Vueling cabin crew supported by FILT-CGIL, UILT-UIL, and USB against layoffs and for better working conditions and to discuss the legislation of maternity to paternity protection.

 

Italy | General strike against inflation, high cost of living, and high energy prices to be held in Rome, Lazio on December 2
On December 2, a general strike will be held in Rome, Lazio. The strike will be staged by the USB union against inflation, high cost of living, high energy prices, and to stop the Ukrainian war. The strike will take place at Piazza Della Repubblica at 10:30 am local time.

 

Italy | Mayors and administrators to stage protest against the high cost of tolls and for road safety in Rome, Lazio on November 29
On November 29, a demonstration will be held in Rome, Lazio. The demonstration will be staged by mayors and administrators from Lazio and Abruzzo against the high cost of tolls and for the safety of the A24 and A25 highways. The demonstration will take place outside the Ministry of Transport at 10 am local time.

 

Italy | Demonstration in support of the citizenship income to be held in Palermo on November 29
On November 29, a demonstration will be held in Palermo, Sicily. The demonstration will be staged by APS PUC – PALERMO HELP in support of the citizenship income. The demonstration will take place on Corso Calatafimi from 8:30 am to 1 pm local time.

 

Montenegro | Anti-government protest to be held in Podgorica on November 28
On November 28, an anti-government protest will be held in Podgorica. . The protest is being staged demanding the withdrawal of amendments to the law on the President of Montenegro, an agreement on the selection of constitutional judges, and the calling of early parliamentary elections. The demonstration will take place in front of the Parliament of Montenegro at 6 pm local time.

 

Serbia | Education trade unions to stage protest and warning strike on November 30 and December 1
On November 30 and December 1, education trade unions will organise a protest and a warning strike. The demonstrations are being staged demanding the protection of teachers and an increase in salaries. The protest is scheduled to take place at Nikola Pašić square in Belgrade from 12 pm local time. On December 1, teachers will go on a warning strike.

 

United Kingdom | GMB-associated G4S cash delivery staff to strike on December 4
On December 4, GMB-associated G4S cash delivery staff will go on strike. Around 1200 members will strike from 3 am local time. The strikes could lead to a cash shortage for clients that rely on the deliveries, such as various banks and supermarkets. They have been launched over a pay dispute.

 

United Kingdom | UCU-associated university staff to hold nationwide strikes on November 30
On November 30, UCU-associated university staff will hold nationwide strikes. Industrial action will also take place on November 23. Over 70,000 staff at 150 universities will participate in the strikes. They have been organized over a pay and conditions dispute.

 


 

Middle-East & North Africa

 

Algeria – Italy | Volotea to launch flights routes linking Naples (NAP) and Venice (VCE) to Algiers (ALG) on November 28-29
On  November 28-29, Volotea is to launch 2 new flight routes linking Naples (NAP) and Venice  (VCE) to Algiers airport  (ALG). 2 flights per week for each route are scheduled.

– The flights between Naples and Algiers will operate from November 28 until March 23.
– The flights between Venice and Algiers will operate from November 29.

 

Tunisia – United Kingdom | Tunisair to increase number of weekly flights between Tunis Airport (TUN) and London Gatwick (LGW) from December 9
From December 9, Tunisair plans to increase the number of flights per week from 2 to 4.

 

Turkey | Demonstrations and events banned in parts of Kilis governorate, until December 1
From November 25 to December 1, demonstrations and events will be banned in areas of the Kilis governorate. The affected area is around the Syrian border.

Turkey | Demonstrations and marches banned for 15 days in Şanlıurfa, Şanlıurfa Governorate, starting November 21
From November 21 to December 5, a demonstration and march ban will be enforced in Şanlıurfa, Şanlıurfa Governorate. The measure was taken after operations carried out by the security forces against the armed structure of the PKK terrorist organization in the country and abroad.
